Partial List of My Support

ADVICE: Small businesses (under 75 computers) may have lost their entire network and databases. Although my primary emphasis is not on hardware, I can help you select the new equipment to replace your lost equipment. In most cases the equipment available today will be much better than the equipment you replace and you may need advice in selecting it. I can install equipment, create new servers, set up network, and in many cases recover your lost data and move it to your new system. Power problems may have caused your equipment to fail. If the actual equipment was not under water we can usually quickly pull the hard disk and put it in another system to recover your data to put you back in business quickly. You may decide to repair the original equipment and put the hard disk back or buy new equipment and add the hard disk to it as a secondary drive. I frequently perform these tasks and with the amount of equipment I own may be able to start your business up again in a matter of hours. If your equipment was under water and the hard disk was damaged I may be able to retrieve data or help you select and use one of the many Data Retrieval  companies who can probably retrieve your data. Then we can install it on a new system. If you had a number of computers that were not networked (connected together) now is the time to set up a network.

If you expect assistance from FEMA or other aid organizations you should give consideration to your computer systems and software. In most cases of older equipment (one or more years) repair (and labor) may cost as much as new equipment and software. Technology changes so fast that parts and software may not be available. Water damage and power damage may not be immediately obvious but either can become a problem later. Power loss or fluctuations can damage electronic parts and if you notice any unusual behavior you should beware. Replacement and labor costs should be a part of your claims.

A major portion of my work consists of helping others with services and support not easily found. Anyone can buy a computer, plug it in, and get results from normal programs and features that are included. Getting new equipment set up and programs and data moved to a new system are not that easy. Many sales people and computer support people can assist with the routine work. I can assist with the more difficult work. Call (318-687-3621 or 318-469-1477) or E-mail (chasgreene@msn.com) for evaluation or advice. I will tell you how to get the routine tasks done. We can discuss my support and I will recommend the least expensive work. That's free!
